In the month of December 2016; my husband and I had been on a three and a half days trip to Barcelona.

Day 1 in Barcelona

After a fulfilling Day 1 we decided to take the second day a bit more leisurely. As per the forecast, it was a sunny day we decided to cover as many open places as possible.

Park Guell

Our first destination for the day was Park Guell. It takes about 4 hours to see the place at leisure. It’s a perfect combination of beauty, nature and architecture. It’s one amongst Gaudi’s (a famous architect) creations. For more information of Park Guell click here : Gaudi’s Barcelona

Somorrostro and Barceloneta Beaches

After seeing Park Guell and having lunch; we took the public transport and when to Somorrosto beach. We spent some time there; enjoyed the cold weather and the beautiful waters and the dusk. Then we walked to Barceloneta beach enjoying the various phases of sunset. Even though it was winter and we couldn’t actually enjoy in the sea; we still enjoyed a lot. The best part was that the beach was not crowded at all. It was all serene and calm.

After the long walk at the beach we tried the famous Spanish Tapas

(Gazpacho and Spinach and Chikpeas)
